Hello, friends.

I could not help but to reflect on the last four years in response to the momentum leading up to a historical day. Looking in the rearview mirror, I recognized a muscle people do not fully exercise:


Regardless of who you are and where you stand, a good gesture can influence the recipient to do the same for someone else.

Wouldn’t that make the world a better place?

In honor of January 20, 2021, I present to you 46 simple ways to be an infectiously good person.

  1. Surprise someone with a note.
  2. Say thank you.
  3. Be patient.
  4. Think before you talk.
  5. Share a favorite piece of music.
  6. Exude positivity.
  7. Be kind even when you have opposing views.
  8. Slow down and take your time.
  9. Think good thoughts.
  10. Respect your neighbor.
  11. Be honest.
  12. Know yourself so you can be yourself.
  13. Laugh together.
  14. Avoid detrimental temptation.
  15. Say you’re sorry.
  16. Demonstrate random acts of kindness.
  17. Give while expecting nothing in return.
  18. Listen.
  19. Thou shalt not (lie, cheat, or) steal.
  20. Ask for help.
  21. Remind someone that you love them.
  22. Teach the right way.
  23. Mentor those who need you.
  24. Give someone a book that changed your life.
  25. Place human rights before political views.
  26. Turn on the music and dance with someone.
  27. Have a cup of tea and a meaningful conversation.
  28. Live with purpose.
  29. Love life and love the journey.
  30. Make a habit that benefits someone important.
  31. Care more, consume less.
  32. Don't point fingers before you take a hard look at yourself.
  33. Practice empathy.
  34. Lead with passion.
  35. Compliment someone for their good deeds.
